Over a decade ago Springvale Botanical Cemetery recognised that when a person was cremated their family were left with nowhere to visit directly after the funeral. It often takes family members some time to make decisions regarding the permanent placement of cremated remains.
In order to provide families with a peaceful place for reflection, Springvale introduced the Walls of Reflection in 2002. Within 48 hours of the funeral service, cremated remains may be securely placed in the walls with a commemorative plaque. This complimentary memorial arrangement is provided for up to three months, giving families not only time to consider their options, but also a peaceful place to visit.
